Keisha Chin Goosby

Keisha Chin Goosby is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of the General Education Intern credentialing program in the Department of Teaching and Learning. Her research focuses on the educational experiences of undocumented, immigrant, and historically excluded students and the impact that mentors have upon them. As a scholar practitioner, she strives to be a critical, anti-racist mentor and educator who advocates for excluded students. Her career in education includes elementary and secondary teaching in Los Angeles and the Inland Empire. While earning her Ph.D. in Education at Claremont Graduate University (CGU), she taught and mentored secondary teachers in the M.A/credential program at CGU. Prior to joining LMU, she was a Training Director and the Associate Director of an undergraduate research training program at California State University Long Beach. She enjoys working with and learning from her students.
